Yoko Ono, John Lennon's famous widow, will display an exhibition of her artwork in Newcastle later this year.The event, a retrospective that spans Ono's 50 year career as an artist, is entitled "Between The Sky and My Head", and will be held at The Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art, located beside the River Tyne.

Sir Paul McCartney looks set for A Hard Day's Night playing a new Beatles Monopoly boardgame.
The 66-year-old emerged from his offices in London's Soho Square yesterday with the Fab Four edition of the popular game. McCartney's chauffeur popped the upcoming Beatles Monopoly game on the back seat of his car as the eternally youthful singer bounded outside.

Pete Best, the original Beatles drummer who was replaced by Ringo Starr, is scheduled to perform Saturday, Oct. 4, at the 4th annual George Harrison Beatles Festival in Benton, Ill. The festival marks the visit in October 1963 that Harrison made to his sister, Louise Harrison, at her family’s home in Benton.

A copy of The Beatles' first contract with manager Brian Epstein sold for more than $426,000, the auctioneers said. The four-page document was signed on Jan. 24, 1962, by John Lennon, George Harrison, Paul McCartney and Richard Starkey.

Sir Paul McCartney has taken his relationship with Nancy Shevell to the next level after reportedly beginning his hunt for an apartment closer to her New York home. The former Beatle has been dating American heiress Shevell since last year and is now said to have made moves to purchase a property closer to her Upper East Side residence.

Those hoping to fill out their iTunes libraries with the Beatles' music will have a little while longer to wait, if Mojo magazine's off the record report is true. Having interviewed Sir Paul McCartney for its October issue, the publication also alleges that it's heard the remastered Beatles albums now won't be available at iTunes or elsewhere until sometime in 2009.
