The Beatles 50 Years Ago Today: October 29, 1968

Today Geoff Emerick prepared the remaining stereo mixes for the Yellow Submarine track Album - Hey Bulldog, All Together Now, All You Need is Love, and Only A Northern Song.

This latter title was a "Mock Stereo" mix, worked from the mono master rather than the original four-track. The Beatles were mildly criticised over the Yellow Submarine LP for giving less than their usually excellent value-for-money. Never happy with the Yellow Submarine Project, perhaps the Beatles felt that they were better off consigning it entirely to the past.

The Beatles 50 Years Ago Today: October 25, 1968

John and Yoko announce that their child should be born in February. Unfortunately, Ono suffered a miscarriage on  November 21st 1968 at Queen Charlotte's Hospital, London. The unborn child was named John Ono Lennon II, and was buried by the couple in a secret location.
